\"Refurbishing<\/a><\/div>\n

We are all anticipating a great 2013 and many of us are making\u00a0resolutions to help us lose weight, spend more wisely, or make other positive changes in our lives.\u00a0 At\u00a0MBAC we have some resolutions of our own to improve programs, offer more services,\u00a0and become a better organization.\u00a0 We thought we’d share some of those resolutions with you and ask\u00a0for your feedback on\u00a0anything we may have missed.

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

RESOLUTION #1:\u00a0UPDATE OUR WAKEBOARDING\u00a0BOATS AND EQUIPMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

As you read earlier in the newsletter, we are well on our way to accomplishing this goal!\u00a0 Working together with Correct Craft we are replacing our current\u00a0fleet of wakeboard boats\u00a0with 5 brand new\u00a02013 Super Air Nautiques!\u00a0 We also\u00a0just received our shipment of current year Liquid Force\u00a0wakeboards\u00a0and bindings and\u00a0are putting them in service right now.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Resolution #1 almost complete!<\/p>\n

RESOLUTION #2:\u00a0 REFURBISH OUR SAILING EQUIPMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the winter break we have been hard at work refurbishing and reoutfitting our sailing boats and equipment.\u00a0 We pulled our fleet of keelboats out of the water (pictured above) and cleaned and painted the hulls.\u00a0 We\u00a0are currently replacing the sails on all of our Sabots and Lasers and have also been performing fiberglass repairs on our Holders and Hobies\u00a0to improve your sailing experience.<\/p>\n

RESOLUTION #3:\u00a0 BE MORE SUSTAINABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In 2013 MBAC\u00a0will receive certification\u00a0of\u00a0LEED Platinum for Existing Buildings by the U.S. Green Building Council.\u00a0\u00a0Last year we recycled 75% of our waste stream and our goal for 2013 is to get as close to 100% as possible.\u00a0We estimate that our solar photovoltaic power system will produce enough energy in 2013 to offset over 1,300 homes and prevent over 82,000\u00a0lbs of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere.<\/div>\n

RESOLUTION #4: OFFER ONLINE REGISTRATION<\/strong>
\nWe have been working very hard over the last few years to find a way to offer the convenience of online registration for our\u00a0programs.\u00a0 We have successfully launched online registration for our youth camp programs and are looking forward to offering online registration for rec classes, university credit classes and rentals this year.<\/p>\n
