In the end the course will require less in-person sessions and use the meeting times more efficiently.&nbsp; Each meeting session will begin with a brief review of the online material, and then will spend the rest of the time sailing and perfecting on-the-water skills.<\/p>\n<p>Topics for this extensive sailing course include&nbsp;tacking, jibing, crew coordination, navigation rules, basic chart reading, sail theory, docking, mooring ball pickups, anchoring, reefing, heaving to, and crew overboard recovery. Upon completion you will be eligible to take a final written test to receive your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sailingcertification.net\/courses\/basic-keelboat\">US Sailing Basic Keelboat certification<\/a>, which is included in the course fee.<\/p>\n<p>The in-person portion of this class will meet Saturdays and Sundays&nbsp;December 2, 3, 9, 10 from&nbsp;9am to 4pm&nbsp;with a
