Instructional Clinics are a great way to increase your sailing skills and knowledge in a short one-session format. These clinics are a complimentary benefit to Sailing Members, but unless marked as "member-only" are also available to non-members. UPCOMING CLINICS

Spinnaker Clinic

Spinnakers are colorful sails often used on both racing and cruising sailboats to gain extra speed when sailing downwind. Often perceived as complicated and intimidating, during this clinic you will see just how easy and fun flying a spinnaker can be. Topics include rigging, hoisting, trimming, jibing, and dropping an asymmetrical spinnaker on our RS Quests.

Sailing Racing Clinic

Sailboat racing is a fun and exciting way to get involved with the sailing community. Join our sailing instructors and other members in this low-pressure introduction to racing sailboats. We'll cover the basics before getting out on the water and running some quick races. You will learn about starts, strategies, and maximizing boat performance.

Windsurfing Level 2 Qualification

Take the next step and learn techniques to sail more efficiently and make your board go faster. Using larger, fully battened Dacron sails, you will focus on proper rigging technique, beach starts, and improving body position. Continue to progress your skills and enjoy your time on the water as you practice this fun and challenging sport. This single-day clinic is open to anyone who is currently qualified to rent Level 1 windsurfing equipment at MBAC and is free for current MBAC Sailing Members.​

Member-only Keelboat Social Sail

Join our instructors and other members for a social sailing experience on our J/24 keelboats. This setting is perfect for anyone looking to meet other sailing members or learn more about keelboat sailing before committing to a full-length class. No prior sailing experience is required to join the crew! Available to sailing and paddling members only. Member-only qualification clinics

These 3-hour sessions are only open to current sailing members and will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the necessary skills to become qualified to rent out additional boats they are not yet qualified for.
