Mission Bay Aquatic Center was officially honored by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) for it’s work promoting paddling safety through digital content. The 2025 National Paddlesports Committee Honors (NPCH) award was presented to Jamie Eubanks, MBAC Instructional Coordinator, at the 2025 Paddlesports Trade Coalition in Charlotte, North Carolina. This award celebrates excellence in promoting paddling safety online.

Most boating deaths are preventable — in 2022, 85% of people who drowned in fatal boating accidents weren’t wearing a life jacket.
